1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Working Order, the Ontario-based operator of LineForge. By accessing or using LineForge, you agree to these terms. If you use LineForge for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
Restaurant merchants may also be subject to a signed order form and the Merchant Agreement. If those documents conflict with these general terms for merchant services, the signed order form and Merchant Agreement control.
2. LineForge’s role in restaurant orders
LineForge provides technology that restaurants use to publish menus, receive orders, manage operations, and connect selected providers. The restaurant, not Working Order, is the seller of the food and restaurant services shown on its storefront unless the checkout clearly says otherwise. The restaurant controls menu descriptions, prices, taxes, availability, preparation, substitutions, allergen information, acceptance, and fulfilment.
Delivery may be performed by the restaurant or a third-party delivery provider. Any delivery estimate is an estimate, not a guarantee.
3. Orders and payment
Review the restaurant, location, items, quantities, service mode, address, fees, taxes, tip, and total before submitting an order. An order is not accepted merely because a payment authorization was attempted. Acceptance may depend on restaurant confirmation, payment status, inventory, service hours, delivery eligibility, and fraud checks.
You authorize the displayed charge and any clearly disclosed adjustment you approve. Payment services can be subject to the payment provider’s terms. Refunds and cancellations are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any restaurant-specific policy shown at checkout or on the receipt.
4. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information, protect login credentials, use only the restaurant, location, and role access granted to you, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by law. We may require stronger authentication, end sessions, or restrict access to protect the service.
5. Acceptable use
You may not misuse LineForge, interfere with service operation, probe or bypass security, access another person’s or restaurant’s data without authorization, submit unlawful or deceptive content, introduce malicious code, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected portions except where law permits, or use LineForge to violate law or third-party rights.
6. Third-party services
LineForge can connect to payment, POS, delivery, messaging, mapping, hosting, and other providers. Those services are operated by third parties and may have separate terms, availability, fees, and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent acts, but we remain responsible for our own obligations and for personal information under our control.
7. Intellectual property
Working Order and its licensors own LineForge, its software, brand, documentation, and original content. Subject to these terms and any merchant agreement, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use LineForge for its intended purpose. Restaurants retain ownership of their menu, brand, and other merchant content and grant us the rights reasonably needed to host, display, process, and transmit it for the service.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep LineForge reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, security work, provider failures, internet conditions, emergencies, or events outside reasonable control can affect availability. We may improve or change features while respecting active merchant commitments and applicable law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, suspected fraud, unlawful use, material breach, non-payment, provider requirements, or protection of restaurants, customers, and the platform. You may stop using public services at any time. Merchant cancellation and transition rights are governed by the order form and Merchant Agreement.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, LineForge is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Working Order is not responsible for a restaurant’s food, allergens, preparation, service, or independent representations, or for a third-party provider’s independent conduct.
To the extent permitted by law, Working Order will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost business arising from the service. Any contractual cap applying to a merchant is stated in the Merchant Agreement or order form. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Ontario unless applicable law requires another forum.
12. Contact and changes
Questions can be submitted through the support/contact page. We may update these terms and will post the effective date. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as required.
