Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Working Order, operating LineForge, handles personal information across our website, restaurant platform, support, and business relationships.

Effective August 10, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

LineForge is a product of Working Order in Ontario, Canada. This policy applies when you visit a LineForge website, request a demo, use a LineForge account, contact support, or place an order through a restaurant storefront powered by LineForge.

For restaurant orders, the restaurant is responsible for its customer relationship and many decisions about the order information it collects. Working Order processes that information to provide LineForge services to the restaurant and also remains responsible for information under its own control.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and business information: name, work email, phone, restaurant or company, locations, POS, and messages submitted through our forms.
  • Account information: login identifiers, roles, restaurant/location access, account activity, and support communications.
  • Ordering information: contact, delivery or pickup details, order contents, instructions, status, and transaction references needed to place and fulfil an order.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, security logs, and diagnostic events.
  • Payment information: payment providers process card or bank credentials. LineForge receives transaction references and status information rather than full payment-card details where the provider supports that model.

3. Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries; create and secure accounts; provide ordering, restaurant operations, support, billing, and delivery features; route orders to the correct restaurant and location; prevent fraud and abuse; diagnose incidents; meet legal obligations; and improve the reliability and usability of LineForge.

We use information for a new purpose only when permitted by law and, where required, after obtaining fresh consent.

4. When we disclose information

We disclose information only as needed to provide the service, follow your direction, support a restaurant’s order, protect people and systems, complete a business transaction, or comply with law. Recipients can include the restaurant receiving an order, payment processors, delivery providers selected for the order, infrastructure and communications providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required.

Some service providers may process information outside Canada. Information in another jurisdiction can be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful access processes. We remain accountable for personal information transferred to providers for processing and use contractual and other safeguards appropriate to the service.

5. Consent and choices

You may decline optional fields in our forms. You can withdraw consent for future optional uses by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing information required to provide a feature can prevent us or the restaurant from continuing that feature.

6. Retention and safeguards

We keep information only as long as reasonably required for the identified purposes, restaurant instructions, dispute handling, security, accounting, and legal obligations. We then delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it according to our retention practices.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Access, correction, and privacy questions

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, challenge its accuracy, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity and may withhold information where the law permits or requires it.

Contact the Privacy Officer, Working Order through our support/contact page. If the request concerns a restaurant order, identify the restaurant and order reference so we can direct the request appropriately.

8. Cookies and similar technology

LineForge uses browser storage, cookies, and similar technology where needed for authentication, security, shopping-cart continuity, preferences, and service operation. We do not describe a technology as optional advertising tracking unless that technology is actually enabled and the required choices are provided.

9. Children

LineForge is intended for restaurants, their authorized staff, and customers capable of placing an order. It is not designed to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate involvement from a parent or guardian.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as LineForge, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
